sound wont work

ok i know everyone is prolly ranting and raving about there sound and im just another person so sorry lol, anyways ive been searching through this forum for a couple hours now trying everyhting possible and nothing will work so yah.

well my sound wont work and it says theres no audio device in the sounds,speech, and audio devices section in the control pnel and in the device manager theres a yellow ! next to mulrimedia audio controller, PCI input device, PCI simple comunications controller, and
video controller (VGA compatible). i tried uninstalling them and restarting but it didnt work, i have balarc advisor but i dont really know all the info you need i know i have an AMD Athlon(tm) XP if that helps any, please help no sound is really throwing me off.

I would try reinstalling the card with new drivers from the manufacturers website. It sounds like a driver problem to me.

Well i dont know where to download legacy audio drivers, i tried to google it but couldnt find anyhting.

Well if you can't find them on the manuf. website, try www.driverguide.com. They seem to have a lot of legacy drivers.

ok i figured out the problem, i have a soundblasterlive sound card in my computer, i opened it up and looked lol, but my computer wont acnowledge its there, or it just has a yellow ! next to it just renamed as multimedia controll device, but i ran a scan i dont remember what it was and it told me it was a soundblaster, my omputer just doesnt know it, i tried downloading a new driver for soundbnlaster but it said there was no soundblaster card in my computer......

You need to get the Chipset driver, this tells the OS which INF files to load. But need more info to help.
