formatiing laptop without D: drive

Hello
I have a laptop with 40gb only on drive C: and i dont have any other drive.(no D: drive) I want to format my laptop. Is it possible to do so without drive D: or will i have to do other procedure.
Please help me
In need of help.

No probs all you need is XP OS disk in the bios change the boot squence to cd rom first boot device have a look at this link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/313348

PLEASE BEWARE THAT FORMATING THE HARD DRIVE WILL ERASE ALL DATA
