No Audio

[peachiez]

I have a sony vaio pc
which i jus reformatted with the Windows XP cd acouple days ago
i installed all the drivers properly downloaded from esupport.sony.com

but there is no sound driver there!

after installnig all the drivers there i still have no sound, in the device manager my audio says "driver is working properly"
there is no Volume Icon on my bottom right screen
the device managershows that the Multimedia Audio Controller has an exclamation mark

my PC is a PCV-RS712 sony vaio
