Problems with the Screen Resolution

Hi, I have installed ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 display driver as everytime I did when I formatted my harddisk. When I have installed and it restarts it will give me the best screen resolution I actually have in my hardware. But then, when I shutdown the computer and start it again the resolution is decreased. To explicitly express the problem I am facing, I have attached the screen shots of both the situations.

Here are the screen shots.

How may I restore the best resolution available on my commputer?
