Hello
I had Vista installed to a second partition on my laptop
but hated it so I did what felt best at the time, just formatted
the partition. That left me with an annoying boot menu that was
easily defeated with fixboot and the MS XP Pro CD.
Now I have a "boot" folder on C:\ that I want gone. I was
going to format C and reinstall everything but someone else
tried that and the damn boot folder stayed.
I followed every step in
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;308418 to set permissions and even stopped indexing
services, even took the drive out of the laptop and connected
it via USB to a desktop and still, I get a &@%$# write protected
folder error. I tried "Secureclean" and "MoveonBoot" but neither
helped.
WTF do I have to do!
Please help....
