completely re-starting my computer (re-installing windows)

a few questions...

does this completely reset everything?

how do you do it?

is there any way of saving certain files i do not want to be deleted?

are there any complications?

You can use the "Files and Settings Transfer Wizard" to do this. I prefer to have a completely new instance and then try not to install the same rubbish as before. The more you do this the less stuff/bloat you realise you need. Just make sure you back up the stuff you really can't do without.
