System Resources

When I reboot my computer, using XP Pro, the system resources are using 3 to 7 percent. Once I connect to the Internet the resources skyrocket between 85 to 100 percent. I have plenty of ram which I realize doesn't directly affect the resources.

ok 1stly how much RAM do you have? and secondly its a case of cause and effect, if you load something or do something it will need some memory or "resources" to function. the more RAM you have the more "resourcses" are left free for apps or games to use. laterz
