Ip Hider - Bittorrent

hey all well just trying to confuse my self...again

Well i have a question.... When i am using bit torrent, and i download, people also download off me, which also uses up my small download limit, and so i was wondering, if i use a ip hider will that stop people from downloading of me... and yes i have tried to change settings on bit torrent... so um yeah...
