Hard Disk Icon Not Showing Up In My Computer

In "My Computer", my hard disk (Drive C) isn't showing up with a hard disk icon, but rather a picture of a "page". When you double click the picture, the computer says to go to the Control Panel to install and configure system components. The drive seems to be working fine, as if you right click on the picture, you can access the files. This is a clean install upgrade from Windows ME. Any ideas how to get the Drive C icon to appear, and allow access to Drive C with a double-click? Thanks for your help...

Thank you very much for the reply, however, that program only works with 98 and ME, and I have XP Pro...I don't understand why the "My Computer" doesn't seem to recognize the Hard Drive, yet it works fine when you right click it...
