Windows xp formating help
I have purchased a new computer and attempted to clear my computer and re-boot (if that's what you call it) windows so I could sell it. I have cleared everything. Now my computer will not read my version of windows it just flashes a blank screen. And yes my bios is in the right order. Now I am using my boyfriends xp professional disk and it reads it (first problem solved) but now it says "Disk boot failure..." but when I press enter it does nothing. I did get it to run the set up once. and then it restarted to continue the set up and I didnt press anything but it just kept saying "disk boot failure..." is it the disk? should I try another one? is it because it is professional and not home? I am so frustrated and just want to get windows back on my computer... not worried about saving data or anything like that. My bios is in the right order which is what I am reading in most posts... any ideas will be greatly appreciated. I have also tried to download something on to a CD from my new computer... some thing that is supposed to fix all windows boot problems. my computer doesnt recognize it as anything though.
Any help... please!!!
