No Audio Device problem

I cannot play sounds through my speakers. My speakers are on and there is power to them. In the control panel under sounds and audio devices, it says "no audio device" under the volume tab. Under the audio tab, it will not allow you to select anything under default device for either sound or music playback. My kids have a Logitech camera, and it is the default under sound recording. Under the hardware tab, Unimodem Half-Duplex Audio Device is set to use this device (enable) under device usage. It also says that Audio Codecs, Legacy Audio Drivers, and media control devices are working properly. Only the camera comes up under advanced audio controls. Under device manager, there is no speaker set icon. It has a (-) instead of a (+) in the box in front of it, and then after it, a yellow (?), then "other devices" and below that, another yellow (?) and then "Multimedia Audio Controller". It does have a "sound, video, and game controller" option in the device manager, however. Under "Properties" in that selection, though, there is nothing to select but OK and cancel. All of my device manager property boxes are like that. There used to be a volume control icon on the bottom right on my screen, but it's gone now. I went in under Unimodem Half-Duplex Audio Device "properties", and tried to update the drivers. The wizard said that there is no better match than the one I already have. Pleas help me, someone! I just don't know what else to do!

I Need help!!! whenever i try to reinstall my sound card i cant delete it and it always says maintenance complete so wen i try to reinstall it i have no sound and it as gives me a message that windows logo testing failed to verify its compatibilty...what can i Do?
