can't use arrow keys

hello!,
I just got a problem with my pc, the arrow keys does not functioning
to select which mode to open the windows (safe mode, last good known configuration, or start normally) and also I can't run windows set up on my cd room, that i have to use other computer to format my hard disk and set up windows again. what's wrong with my computer?

Ok do you have a USB key board? If so you need to go into the Bios (f8) and set usb keboard and also to boot to the cd rom select, first boot device cd, second hard drive ect.

yes I do have a usb keyboard its working good except in selecting which mode to open, could you please tell me step by step how to set the usb keyboard on the bios? I was able to select the cd room as the first boot but the set up does not continue. Thank you!

Hi, this may work but in the bios go to >Intergrated Peripherals>enable usb key board. This will enable your key board in dos (safe mode ect.)

I finally got it, enabling the usb keyboard made it, thank's monty! Now I learned it.
