No sound on my desktop - help, please!
Have lost sound on my desktop for two weeks now, and have run into a brick wall trying to get assistance.
I would appreciate some assistance here.
I have the Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Advanced MB installed, and its icon currently indicates volume instead of the generic Windows icon. When I double-click or right-click and select speaker settings on the icon, I get the message "the audio device supported by this application is not detected; the application will now exit".
VOLUME CONTROL:
There are no active mixes available....when I go to Add hardware under Printers and Other hardware (Control Panel), all the codecs are deemed to be working properly.
SOUNDS AND AUDIO DEVICE PROPERTIES:
Audio codecs, legacy audio codecs, media control devices all working properly.
