Regarding WIN XP- LAN Icon disappeared and not able to connect to internet

I got a new T-61 Laptop from lenovo. I tried to connected to the wired broadband internet from my home. It's not working. I am getting DHCP not responding error. When i was debugging for this i noticed "local area network icon , wireless icon and 1394 icon" got disappeared from mynetwork places. When i click mynetwork->view network connections nothing is being displayed. How do i resolved the two problems. Pls help me regarding this. Provided the debug info below.

Thanks a lot for the info. I reinstalled the network adapter and i am able to see the icons now. Now i tried to connect to the internet thur wired broad band and i am getting the below error
DHCP Server not responding.

I had set automatically detect setting in IE now When i do a ipconfig i am able to see the ipaddress. But network icon in the status bar shows me limited connectivity. But when i connect another laptop i am able to browse the internet with the same wired broadbnad connection.
