XP Professional Crashes on Games

Hi!

Does anyone know if there was ever a patch or fix for the AMD Athlon/Windows XP conflict. My son can only play a game for a few minutes before crashing. Or does anyone know what to do about this?

Can you give some more info? Which game? All games? Video card?

CPU,ram etc.

There was a patch for the Mobile version of AMD cpu's. This patch is included in the SP1.

WU has a newer AMD Athlon driver available, so I assume that one could help. In general I always recommend keeping your system updated.

Micron Computer
Processor: AMD Anthlon (tm) XP
1.67 ghz
Ram: 512 DDR
Video Card: 128mb ddr nVidia Geforce 4

There was supposed to be a conflict between the Athlon and XP. Microsoft was supposed to come out with a hotfix. But if they did I have no idea.

Here is the latest AGP Driver from AMD for XP .

BUT you need to know what brand,make, model, chipset your motherboard is or things could get messed up further.
