Having just bought a pc laptop after being a mac user for years I am lost. Question after installing software where does it go. say I want to trash it how do I find the software. it is not on the desktop. I am use to having a hard drive icon showing all installed software. on a pc where do I find it. having a nightmare.

No problem. Go to your start menu - click on "my computer" and scroll down to the program folder. To view or uninstall software go to "control panel" via the start menu and click on "add or remove programs". You can put a My Computer icon on the desktop by simply right clicking on it and choosing "show on desktop". Hope this helps.

There are two ways. First look in your "Add/Remove" box found by going to the start menu and opening control panel. Click on the add/reove icon. If you see the name of the program there, then you can highlight it and remove it. The other option is double clicking on your "My Computer" icon on the desktop and clicking on the hard drive you installed the program to. Then find the folder in the menu box that is open before you, or double click on the "Program Foldder" icon and find it there. You can also click on the start menu and go up to programs, over to the menu box that has your program listed, highlight the nam,e and right click on it . Then down to properties and it will tell you where the folder is. Hope this answeres your question.
