Will Not Boot After Motherboard Replaced

I have a small network at work, the server runs xp pro and the workstations are 98se. I needed to replace a motherboard on one of the workstations, I got an AMD xp 1800 and ECS mb. The server was runing Intel 850 with Epox mb. So I thought I would take the Epox/ Intel setup and put it in the workstation and put the AMD in the server. Well the workstation works great but the server will not boot. I get the blue screen of death, says windows has stopped loading to save my system. I did not disable anything before replacing the mb. I have Norton Anti Virus loaded on c and I also have a d: drive. The only thing I have installed on the mb is the memory (256) and agp video card.

If you have done a mobo change and this is happening, then you will most likely need to re-install windows to get everything detected correctly.

Different mobo's based on the same chipset will often swap out OK, without needs to re-do windows, but it sounds like you have an situation where you need to reinstall - sorry!
