Windows Folder Size

Hi..

The free space on my Desktop PC C Drive is 500 MB.The C drive space 17 GB.I found that the windows folder size is 13GB which cause the problem.I checked the files and folder size(even hidden files) and I found it less then 4GB.I don't know how to solve this problem and from where the big size is comming ?I hope that someone could help me?

Iam using Windows xp professional,I was using AVG antivirues which after I update it I observed the problem then I uninstall it (The System stop working while I was uninstalling it then I uninstall it in the safemode).I have Norton Disk Doctor but it doesn't work on C drive even after restart windows.If I use Norton Disk Doctor without fix error checked I found there are Errors in the system but how could I fix it?.
