No IDE Device - Compaq Presario V5000 Laptop
When I power on my laptop, I see the following lines:
For Realtek RTL8139(X)/8130/810X PCI Fast Ethernet Controller v2.13
PXE-E61:Media test failure, check cable
PXE-M0F:Exiting PXE-ROM
These 3 lines keep disappearing and reappearing (looping). I can't do anything except go into the setup (F10). I was able to run a test. The test results say No IDE Device. I can't boot from the CD or anything. (I changed the boot sequence to try to boot from a cd, didn't work).
I have a compaq presario v5000 laptop (RG324UA#ABA), System Board ID: 30AE, Processor Type: Mobile AMD Sempron (tm), Speed:2000 MHz, Bios version F.43, KBC Version 49.56.
Any ideas what this means? My best guess is that it's not detecting the CD Drive??
