XP And playing games

What is XP like with games

I have only been using XP for about 1 year. My puter is mostly a toy for me (games & e-mail). I have found very few problems with compatibility. And when I did I am able to either call the game manufacture or my ISP tech support & get the game to play.

Some games that people like to play are games that they have had for years (pre-XP). XP has a compatibility mode for older games that are on your hard drive and Program Compatibility Wizard for games that are either on CD or a network.

Even though Microsoft has made an effort to add features in XP that will allow people to use older programs and games, not all older programs and games can be used on XP.

That would depend on the hardware...How can anyone answer that question?
