Sandisk Sansa m240 mp3 player.

We have 4 computer at home. 3 computer will recognize this player when its plugged in with no problem. My sons computer will not. Plugging it into a USB port produces the 2 tone USB beep and nothing else. Explorer just shows all the standard drives and not the player. Device Manager is not showing any problems. All USB devices are "working normally" Have even tried re-booting while leaving it connected. Somewere in the POST, the words Sandisk Sansa show up but nothing else. His computer will not recognize the player. We used a 4 Gb Kingston microdrive with no problem. Windows recognized that and transfering files works. Cannot get the player to be recognized.
Any suggestions? Running Windows XP Home w/sp2.

Plug the device to your sons machine, you'll hear the beep indicating it's connected;
Right click My Computer -> Hardware tab -> Device Manager
Do you see any yellow question marks or exclemation marks? If so the device is found but drivers aren't installed. You could right click the device once you connected it and select Uninstall Device, unplug it from your machine, and plug it back in to see if Windows automatically detects it.

Also if the device came with any kind of CD, or you can download the drivers and install them prior to connecting the device to the machine it would be very helpful.

Goodluck

No yellow question marks or exclamation marks. No "right click" since device is not found. Also, according to Sandisk, no such drivers for Windows XP.
