Primary Slave HD not shown on MY COMPUTER Local hard drives

I have 2 hard drives on my computer but only one is shown on the MY COMPUTER local hard drives.

The BIOS shows there are 2 and on the device manager it also shows 2 but everytime I go to the explorer only one is shown.

How do I make the other hard drive show up? I'm using Windows XP professional.

Appreciate any inputs.

Thanks,

Have you just installed XP? Maybe the HD is not configured to suit.

Yes. I just installed XP pro. I tried looking at the disc management and I see that the hard drive is there and there are 3 healthy partitions and one is active..the other 2 isn't. I dont think it's formatted. Do I need to format this drive? how?

thanks dude!

Sata doesn't have a slave option.
How many drive letter does My Computer show as local disc in
details view ?
Name them all and description.
If all this seems ok,get a new cable. The new round ones are better.

Yes I belive the jumpers are set to slave because the BIOS detected it as Primary slave. And Yes itsa IDE HD. My COmputer show only one local hard drive C: and a CD ROM drive D:

Thanks bro!
