Ravaged by spyware

Symptoms:

Brave Sentry keeps installing itself, which I believe is the spyware culprit

My background has been changed to a blank grey screen, while when I turn my pc off I can see my selected background for a brief moment.

Task manager has been been disable by the Adminstrator.

When I run BitDefender it tries to delete viruses, but fails.

Also there is a file I got from Limewire that I can't delete, which is inside my shared file.

First occurance:

I turned off my zonealarm firewall for an update, then brave sentry appeared.

The mysterious un-deletable file in my shared folder appeared last year when I downloaded it from limewire

Actions Ive taken:

I went to msconfig and tried to eliminate brave sentry from startup.

Scoured the web for ways to delete the file to no avail.

Considered having Geek Squad check out my PC, but was warned by friends that they would mess up my PC.

Thanks to Mabonyo67, I found in your forums a method, and successfully turned my task manager back on. However still remaining issues are:

Brave Sentry spyware

My desktop background is grey.

mysterious file in my shared folder from Limewire.

I would also run at least 2 anti-spyware and reboot and run in safe mode. Try this link, its a good program http://www.superantispyware.com/

well, my pc has different symptoms now.

The screen is twitchy, every few seconds the screen does a fritzy thing where the screen is distored for a split second. Also if I used a horizontal scroll on a page the screen goes nuts.

When I turn my pc on it kicks into high fan for a long time and doesnt start till I turn it off then turn it on again.

I got my background back to normal. Except all my stuff was moved from the positions i had it. Now the icons are all on the left instead like they were moved to a specific left alignment of some kind. I used to have them spread across the bottom of my screen.

The one file is still there not deleted.

update oct 7th

I reformatted my pc. The spyware is gone. That one mysterious file is gone.

However the screen is still blipping like crazy sometimes if I scroll. Sometimes at the desktop screen I will get blips just moving my mouse around. What Im defining as a blip is the screen will distort or for a split second have jumbled images.

Also I tried to download bitdefender for antivirus and it locks up my pc to 100% use. So I uninstalled it and it went back to 2%. So I am in need of a free antivirus. Im thinking about using AVG.

My pc came with a Nividia Ge Force and I think it is a 6100.
