Computer won't start up
My computer was experiencing some problems, so I decided to reinstall a fresh copy of Windows XP. I had partition C, D, and E on my hard drive. I deleted both partitions C and D and reinstall a fresh copy of Windows XP to drive C. During the installation, it froze (I waited for about half an hour but no more progress), so I had to turn off the computer.
Now whenever I turn on the computer, it won't even boot. Even with the Windows XP cd in, it won't allow me to install windows. When I choose to install Windows XP onto partition C, it says something like can't detect the hard drive. The hard drive sounds strange when the computer is turned on. The fan on the hard drive is kinda broken also.
Is there anyway I can install windows XP or do I have to buy a new hard drive? If I buy a new hard drive, do I just install Windows normally with the Windows XP cd or is there anything else?
