Unhappy CMI8738/C3DX PCI Audio device with Win XP problems

Hey

I av a problem, i av recently installed windows xp professional and to my dismay some things of mine were uncompatable (required extra files to be exact) and that happened to be my sound, the program suggested to upgrade the driver and i really wish to do so, so i can get my audio back my sound driver thingy is a CMI8738/C3DX PCI Audio device so if anyone could post where i can get and win xp or win 2000 upgrade for this that would be really sweet.

Ok, I downloaded the device from that website posted and started the install when it asked for a file like "drlm.sys" of something i'm not sure. It said it needs it from the xp cd but i cant find such file, on my entire computer let alone on the cd. Does anyone have any idea's?

May be that file that you are looking for is hidden file. Try to go to windows explorer and then Tools then Folder Options then click on the View tab and choose Show all files. Then run a search again. May be you will find it.
