Help with my desktop

Hey.

So a while back I tried to install a desktop skin. In doing so, the instructions on the website told me to go through a list of steps. The last step pretty much told me to keep pressing cancel (or ignore the warnings) regardless of what warnings said. After my computer rebooted, the skin was not uploaded, my taskbar was the classic taskbar (as opposed to xp) and I could not change the background color of my desktop anymore. Everytime i try, a message pops up asking if i want to run DLL as an App. I click close message and an error message pops up saying it could not be done. Anyone know what's going on?

I can still change my desktop background image btw. It is just the background color and the taskbar that's giving me trouble.

I would suspect you may have been infected. Run a full Anti-virus sacn and also go here http://www.superantispyware.com/
And run a full scan as well.
