Question No Audio Coming from Interent Browsers

I have windows xp professional. Right now, for some reason, firefox and explorer have the same problem: no audio from any website like youtube.com or alluc.org. Any video played online or audio played, there is no sound, but you can view the video. The strange thing is my iTunes and Windows Media Player have sound, I compared them from the internet on volume levels. I don't understand how I'm not getting any sound from the internet and can get sound from iTunes. I've tried reinstalling Firefox, it didn't do anything. I also reinstalled Adobe Flash Player, didn't work. If anyone is familiar with this problem, please help me on how to possibly fix it. Thanks.

What you could try is re-installing your Audio Drivers ?!? shot in the dark, but worth a try.

real quick, how come there is only 1 person that replies to my thread, can more than one person reply to a thread? You know, so I can have more than one possible answer to my problem. I'll try your idea though, ttyl.

I figured it out, when I installed Soundmax for my Multimedia audio controller driver missing, xp didn't automatically change the settings in control panel to soundmax audio, so I manually found that out and switched it myself, then sound from the internet worked finally. thanks for your help
