Angry no internet sound yet music has sound on itunes?!?!

please help me figure this out.. its been drivng me crrazyy.. i have windows xp.. i have no internet sound, yet songs have sound on itunes?!?!

This might not work, but do the opposite of what it says here and "check" the boxes, rather than unchecking them.

thank you kevin, but it didnt solve my issue..

its very wierd how it is acting, when i have itunes and windows media player the sound plays great but then when i open the internet and try to play lets say a youtube video. its silent has the video continues to play.. possibly a virus?

Sorry to hear it didn't work,

Are you playing through Internet Explorer? or any other browser?

When did the problem start? Are you trying to play Internet video on just youtube, or any other website?

EDIT: I noticed this thread on a Yahoo search:

It basically says:

IE click Tools then Internet Options.
Now click the Advanced tab
scroll down to Multimedia
then check Play sounds in web-pages

i have found out that the only server that plays no sound is on internet explorer but my sbc yahoo dsl plays sound.

although the internet explorer media properties shows that everything is checked off to allow sound

Are you using IE 7?

If so, try and uninstall it and go back to 6, test out your sound.

Failing that, then you could just stick to another browser.
