its your chipset drivers your missing. and a modem driver ,,,,run belarc or any diagnostic app that will give you your specs of mobo and hardware,,than comeback with details. the pci simple com controller might not be a modem driver..it could be a pci/mobo driver..run win update to see if it detects.
