right mouse menu on folders and drives doesn't work

hi everyone,
i'm having problems with the right mouseclick popup menues in windows xp sp1. When i press the right mouse button on folders and drives the current windows explorer window freezes. The popup menues work properly for all the other filetypes.
I hope someone can help me.

Hey,

You can restore IE's settings by going into regsvr32 shdocvw.dll

make sure you have enabled the JIT in the Advanced Settings under Internet Options under Microsoft VM.

Have you tried using the IE Repair Tool? Open Control Panel -> ADD/REMOVE Programs -> Microsoft Internet Explorer
Click the Add/Remove button and select Repair Internet Explorer. Follow the instructions which will include a RESTART.
