Depends on what kind of gaming you are doing and at what intensity.

If you are looking to do gaming like Crisis or Bioshock and at high resolutions such as 1600X1200 and higher you would want to look at possibly running an SLI configuration. That is where you take two of the same video cards and run them together.

Also depends on your price range. If you are on a budget you might want to think about getting the 8800GTX or 8800GTS 640MB version. If you want to do high resolution gaming then maybe 2 X 8800GTX or 2 X 8800GTS or just one 8800 Ultra depending on how much you are going to spend. Ultras run for about 700 bucks so thats something to think about. If you want to run a 5.1 sound setup and have a lot of money and want the best sound then go for the Creative X-fi since many games are designed to run on them.

Defiantly get a motherboard that is SLI ready even if you arnt going to SLI right away just so you have that upgrade option in the future.
