Angry "Video Card Problems" No 3D

Having problem's with 3D when trying to use screensavers and all, keeps getting 'Could not find any compatible Direct3D' or 'Unspecified Error Encounted' I ran DXDIAG and that said 'Direct3D functionality not available' been to my graphics card web site ATI RADEON 9200 SE and download the drivers but still nothing.

Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (build 2600)
2.20 gigahertz AMD Athlon XP
American Megatrends Inc. K7S8XE 1.0
512 Megabytes Installed Memory
RADEON 9200 SERIES [Display adapter]
Philips 170W [Monitor]
VAXSCSI Controller
SiS 7001 PCI to USB Open Host Controller (2x)
SiS PCI to USB Enhanced Host Controller

Which version of DirectX is installed? According to my information the Radeon 9200SE is okay with DirectX8.x but says nothing about DirectX9

i think the 9200se is Dx9 compatable, but only in software support,,it does not offer full Dx9 hardware support,,thats where your lacking on 3d acceleration i would guess.. check the ati website. see if theres anything about the 9200se or any patches.

DirectX : Version 9.0c (October 2007) is on there which I downloaded from Microsoft .. got the CD that came with it and has both DirectX8 and DirectX9 on there, but could never use the drivers off there because it kept crashing my pc

have you checked your display properties..control panel/display/setting tab/advanced tab troubleshoot ...hardware acceleration ..it is full or half way on the slider.

ok go to direct x and check if the driivers are WHQL digitaly signed ..check this in display. other than that i dont know what else to reccommend..maybe get a nvidia card 6600gt or 6800 etc..they work fine with dx9c and drivers are not a problem.. the 6600 or 6600gt will be better than what you have installed. much faster.

Yes I think there signed from what I can see, updated the driver and now my card has changed to Tul Corporation ??? .. lol
I got another pc so going to change the cards over and see if it works on that one.

i would reccommend you a get nvidia card,,for me,,i have used them for over 10 years..and never once had any problems with the cards or the drivers..they do say ati are good cards,,but the drivers always have issues.
