Audio Device

I recently down graded from vista to XP and my audio device was lost in the process or something because everytime i try to load my audio back up it just says this device cannot start code ( 10) i have the sigmatel high definition audio codec and it says i was missing a file and when i loaded the missing file it still wouldnt work. the version number i have is 5.10.5143.0 and i really have no idea how to get my sound loaded on my computer again
