Question need to know about a modem

hello all
i have an older modem in my computer now after the other one that was in here quit workin the one thats in here wont get over 33.2 kbps but stays at 28.? most of the time the oldone went between 44.0 to 45.2 kbps so i would like to know what would be a best pci modem for dialup that i can use on here maybe if i new what to look for i mite find one on ebay fairly cheap

any pci 56k modem card will do..check out ebay you can get them for pennies nowadays.. ebay is your best bet. just out of curiosity..where are you..and what do you pay for 56k dialup nowadays..ever thought of going abit faster like 512 k broadband.

iam in southern iron county missorui and my dialup cost me $15.00 bucks a month and all we can get here in the middle of gods country is dialup

very suprised ,,always thought usa had broadband everywhere,,you learn something new everyday.try ebay any good 56k pci card will do..also check if your isp uses v92 specs, as thats alittle bit faster. also theres a app called fullspeed..it will make your webpages load faster. i use it and it seems to work great. if you cant get,,, let me know, i have the full version.
