In order to get updates from Microsoft which are appropriate for a particular PC it is necessary to connect that PC to the internet. This allows Microsoft Update to scan the PC to find out which Microsoft products are installed, and which updates and hotfixes are already installed. Only by using that method can you be sure that you're not downloading updates you've already got, and that the updates offered are all relevant to you.

In other words, the Microsoft Update process is 'tailor made' for the PC that's being used to access it. It makes updating so much easier and removes the guesswork.

If, despite all that, you still don't wish to connect that PC to the net you can go the Microsoft Update website, click the 'Use Administrator Options' and you'll see a link to the 'Windows Update Catalog' which offers you all updates and hotfixes for all versions of Windows. It's then left to you do decide which ones are relevant to that PC which isn't connected, and you can download them then transfer them via a CD or USB pen drive.

PS. Before you can access the Update Catalog you may be prompted to download an 'MU Catalog ActiveX Control' from Microsoft if you haven't used that method before.
But that's the hard way.
