Please help, Auto Complete

Ever since they put a new hard drive in my computer which was 6mo old I can't use auto complete. I checked & everything is the way it should be just won't work. I really use this alot to fill out forms for work & it's a pain having to type everything all over again. Would anyone know about this? Thanks

For auto complete in DOS:
Run Regedit and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Command Processor. Right-click on the CompletionChar DWORD and choose Modify. Change its value to 9.

For IE:
From within Internet Explorer, Tools>>Internet Options, select the content tab, then click "Auto Complete...To disable a part, remove the check, to enable a part, place a check by it. To disable it altogether, remove all the checks.

Go to the windows update page and make sure that you have the service pack for IE 6.0...if not the install it. Also look under the list of fixes and other service packs to see if any of them apply to you.

Also I have heard of auto complete in IE not working if auto complete in Windows Explorer is also disabled.
