graphic cards

Have been looking at graphic cards for new pc and at present not clear which card would be best. I intend to play games on new machine but not sure at present which games will play, new machine will be xp and not vista, been looking at these cards

Nvidia 7900GS, Geforce 8600GTS and Gefore 8500 GT

Need advice on which one would be suitable for me.

would say the 7900 gs. its quieter than the gt,s they say and runs abit cooler. heres a small write up on it

Featuring the 20 pixel processors and 470MHz graphics chip speed, Nvidia GeForce 7900 GS will deliver performance a little below that of the GeForce 7900 GT. But being a cut-down version of the latter, the product may have very low power consumption, which may allow manufacturers of appropriate graphics boards to equip it with very low-speed low-noise fans or even stick to passive cooling solution.
