game in sp 1 critical update ?

It appears that there was a game called spider solitare downloaded when I installed the windows update sp 1 Express. It looked like a game and acted like a game, but, when I moved it to my desktop, a dialog box said that windows may not work properly. Does anyone know if a game could possibly be included in the service packs? I don't want any unnecessary stuff on my computer. Thanks

I'm no expert but Spider Solitaire came as standard with original XP, might even have been arounfd with Me. Surprised it only appeared after the SP1 download....maybe it was always there. So I can't see it being the cause of the problem

nope that game was not included in the service pack, is your xp working fine?? if so i would not worry about it as the game is fine to be left alone

Spider Solitaire is a good game!!! ----- Scouse is right, The Service Packs update existing files and would not add a game that has been available for a few Win32 distribs......

Try it in easy mode with just spades - you may like it. Not gonna harm your system like!!

Blake, scouse and MaxPower, Thanks for your replies. The xp is working fine and it does look like a fun game. This is a nice forum.
