if still no audio check this out
Start / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Component Services / a separate window will open – in left pane click Services(Local) from the tree / Scroll down to Windows Audio service / if the service is Disabled or Manual right click > select Properties > under Startup Type change to Automatic > click Apply / click Start > OK Reboot.

Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore / select Create a restore point and follow instructions

Try installing this way

1. Download file
2. Right Click the downloaded file and select Extract all
3. Click Next select a folder to extract the files to (Example: C:\Downloads\new xxxx) and click Finish
4. Right click "My computer" and select Properties
5. Select the Hardware tab and click on Device Manager
6. Search for the problem driver, right click it and select Update driver
7. Select "Install from a list or specific location (advanced)" and click Next
8. Click Browse to browse to the location were you have extracted the driver to ((Example: C:\Downloads\new xxxx) and click Next
9. Click Finish
10. Click Ok when prompted to restart
