My hp writter 9300

I need some help , please!

I have windows XP home Edition. I have a DVD/CD rom drive, (letter E) , I have a Hp writter 9300 (letter F), I installed the driver for it from a CD that I bought from HP, and my writter works, but there is a problem: Everytime I restart my computer and I go to my computer icon, click on it , etc. my Driver "F" is not there, it disappears. I have to add hardware and re install it all the time. Can anybody tell my what can I do so that it stays there all the time!
My DVD-CD Rom is Secondary Master and my writter is secondary slave.
Thanks
Armando

My DVD-CD Rom is Secondary Master and my writter is secondary slave.

Swap them around, DVD should always be a slave

Nooooooooo....

No No

DVd should always be the slave and then the CD-Rw should be the Master

and it should connect to IDE 1 on the motherboard!

I have a 48 x CD writer and i have an Aopen DVD drive and the DVd drive is master and the writer is slave and i have no issues!
