missing ethernet conroller

hey guys,
recently i've just changed a new modem and it came with a ethernet plug so when i connected it, i still couldn't access the internet so i went to check on device manager and it appeared that i have a yellow question mark on the "ethernet controller"
is there any way i could download the ethernet controller driver?
-my motherboard is Intel Bay Field D865GBF
-it's a window xp professional
-motherboard chipset is Intel Springdale-G i865G
i've been browsing on the intel site but i don seem to find it...

I think you're saying you put a new pci card in your computer that has both the capabilities of modem and ethernet? I am hoping it camr with a drivers cd. Your ethernet drivers should be on that cd.Go into control panel to add new hardware and when it asks where to get the drivers from , pick the cd and that should be that. If it didn't come with a cd you may have a problem finding the drivers. If you can find the manufacturer of the card, go to their site and search for their drivers Good Luck Lenny

the problem is that i lost the cd driver so i don know what to download...
