Background Image Problem

My computer has spyware which is annoying to get rid of and it made a background image on my computer saying

"WARNING: Spyware threat has been detected on your PC.
Your computer has several fatal errors due to spyware activity.

It is strongly recommended to install an antispyware software to close all security vulnerabilities."

etc... and I'm picking a different picture for my background to change the spyware message but it keeps coming back up.

Any suggestions on this?

If the spyware warning is in it's own window it could be coming from the built-in Messaging Service (no, not Windows Messenger or MSN Messenger or Live Messenger). The Messaging Service runs as a service and was intended to be used in office environments, to enable internal messages to be sent to the staff. But unscrupulous websites also use that service to try and get you to buy their product by scaring you with false warnings.

Go to Start-> Run. Type services.msc and press enter.
Scroll down to 'Messenger' and double-click it.
Stop it if it says 'started'.
Set it to 'Disabled'.
Click 'OK' to save changes.

Reboot

"If the spyware warning is in it's own window"

Well the spyware message serves as a background image on my computer which still can't be removed.

But I went to messenger in services.msc and the startup type is already disable. I tried to reboot it again but nothing happened.

I would suggest you download and run the spybot S&D. Its a very good free spyware remover.

I already downloaded the AVG Spyware Remover and it's pretty good but it didn't remove the background spyware picture.

I left my computer on for a while so when I try to change my background to a different picture and 5 minutes later, I wanted to change it again but the different picture is not showing up at all. Is it because of the spyware?
