Total system stand still!!!!!HELP!!!!!
I attempted to reinstall an update copy of xp onto my destop pc. The installation went fine. I ellected to delete my old installion of windows to be replaced by the new one.
When the system rebooted I got the messgage that the disk boot had failed and to press enter to restart. When I pressed enter it just gave the same message again.
I read that the only real way to solve this error message is to reinstall the system disc or format the entire drive. Problem is that the system will not let me access the disc at all and I have no other way to format the disc.
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to access DOS through the BIOS options as that is about the only thing I CAN access.
