Task bar icons

How to remove taskbar icons permenantly.

I removed them using the popup menu

But the next boot up, they again display and the loading time of these icons took much time.

How to solve this problem?

Try msconfig from RUN and disable unrequired startup items...

It depends if you want to just remove the icons from the task bar (whilst leaving the program they represent running), or if you want to close the programs too.

If you want to close the programs for good, then uninstall them!

If you just want to get rid of the icons, then most of the programs should have a toggle option in their settings called "display icon in taksbar" or something similar.
