NO sound on my pc

I use my grandmas computer at home and recently something happened and there is no sound. I looked under Sounds and it says there is no audio device I'm not that great with computers so I've tried simple stuff but I'm afraid I might damage it further. All I know is that the computer is an hp pavilion and it beeps when it's supposed to make sound but other than that it doesn't make any sound. PLEASE HELP!

You will need the system driver cd that it may of come with an install the sound driver.

Need more info Get Belarc, copy and paste the report, omit the Software section, it gives Product Codes for your OS and the Windows Critical Updates.
