When double click file folder it show my search window

Hi everyone, 1st time i using this forum

Problems:

1. Everytime i double click file folder for example program files its will come out a Search Result windows instead of going inside the folder, i need to right click and manually go in the folder. When i right click its shows me search the first. I did add somethings in File Options > File Types > Edit File Type (File Folder), end up i added rubbish inside while i can't edit or remove it because the two button was unable to click. Even there is no find and explore for me to set as default.

What i done before errors:

1. I did go through the file types and changed the file folder icon.
2. Perhaps i accidentally set find as default end up everytime i double clicked the file folder for example Program File , My Document and etc, its prompting Searching Result windows for me.

Some solving i did but failed
1. I did use browser to find the solution and this what i found

Symptom

When you open Control Panel - Folder Options - File Types tab, select the File Folder entry, and click the Advanced button, the Edit and Remove buttons may be grayed out. As a result, you may be unable to remove the additional right-click command entries for file system folders.

Resolution

To remove the additional entries, you may need to edit the registry. Follow these steps:

* Click Start, Run and type Regedit.exe
* Navigate to the following branch:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ Directory \ shell

* Backup the key to a file. More information is here
* Right-click the subkey which you want to remove, and choose Delete.
* Exit the Registry Editor

2. I also tried this link which still cant help :
help.lockergnome.com/windows/Reset-File-Folder-settings-File-Types-Folder-Options-ftopict442812.html

Operating System

The OS i using is Microsoft Windows XP
Home Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 2

Sorry if information given is not detail enough, i will reply as soon as possible

thanks for helping or even viewing
