C Drive Icon doesn't show up and double clicking doesn't work..

Ok, I recently upgraded from 2000 to XP.

After upgrading I went to "My Computer" to see this




When I double click on the C: drive it says "Please go to the Control Panel to install and configure system components"

My HD works fine otherwise...I boot from it ( obviously ), my programs run fine and if I just go to explorer and type C:\ everything shows up fine, I just can't double click on it from My Computer...

Any ideas??

In case anyone EVER has this issue here's what fixed it for me..

There was a file called "autorun.inf" located at C:\

That's not good...

Delete the file and restart...

All better!

good fix, i am coppying that down in my book it always good to copy and remember things like this so thanx for the information
