Network, Printer & File sharing

Well,

I've helped many people with problems over the last couple of years on this site, and now I need some help

OK, first off, here's some information that will help.

I'm running 2 computers, 1 Win XP HE, the other is Win XP Media centre 2005.

Both can access the internet fine with no problems, both have had the network setup wizard run, both have the same networking name, but for the life of me just can not find, nor connect to the other PC (Doesn't matter which I use)

I have refreshed the network list, sometimes it will show up, but now it doesn't at all.

Both PC's have been formatted back to their original factory state, and I have also tried to connect the Pc's using a working LAN Cable, again with no success.

I have disabled ALL Anti Virus aswell as uninstalling it, I have disabled the Windows Firewalls, and it still will not find the other machines!

This is driving me mad, I've searched high and low to find an answer, and thought I'd come back to 1 one of, if not the best forum for tech help going.

So can anybody lend a helping hand and help me sort this out please?

Kev

Snooker,

Much appreciate your link to that above website, but I sorted it.

I did a networking test using PC Doctor.

It showed me that the LAN Card failed a TCP/IP test.

I uninstalled the drivers & reinstalled, this made no difference, so I downloaded new drivers from Intel and it worked fine?

The other PC connects to this one fine and vice versa, very strange and clearly the last resort to fix my problem, but thanks for ya help in the meantime!
