Computer Constantly Crashes

My friend recently got a trojan on his computer plus over 50 different spyware and adware. Norton Anti-Virus detected the trojan as Trojan.Vundo, also known as Trojan.VirtuMonde. I managed to remove the trojan using Norton AV and most of the spyware/adware using Spybot S&D. However, Spybot had to run again with the next system start-up because it was not able to remove a couple of problems due to the fact that it may have been in use by the system. So I restarted the computer but before Spybot could finish scanning the computer rebooted. I tried running Spybot again from the desktop but the computer restarts instantly while Spybot is opening or about 3 minutes into scanning. I tried running it in safe mode but the computer still restarts before Spybot can open or finish scanning. Same thing happens if I run Norton AV. Also if I leave the computer on with no programs opened (just the desktop showing) the computer will restart within minutes unless I leave it on in safe mode. Does anyone know what the problem may be?
