Panosonic Tough Book (no sound)

I just aquired a panasonic tough book and just installed windows xp home edition ( it did have professional on it ) my problem is that I have attempted to update all the drivers and I still have no sound and in the device manager it gives me a yellow ! by the multimedia audio controller and when I click on it, it says the drivers are not installed under the sound and video controllers it reads the following audio codecs, legacy audio drivers, legacy video capture devices, media control devices, video codecs, If anyone could help me out with this it would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Newbie

Either the wrong driver has been installed, or the correct driver didn't install properly, or correct driver hasn't been installed at all. If the correct driver was properly installed, you would see the sound device's make and model listed under "Sound, Video & Game Controllers" (eg 'Soundblaster, or AC'97 or something similar).

Drivers for laptops are obtained from the laptop-manufacturer's driver library on their website, but we need to know the exact model name/number of the ToughBook. Alternatively, you can do this yourself by visiting Panasonic's support here:
